Warfare 2025 show report
Time to share some photos from the game I put on at Warfare (in Farnborough, UK) a few weeks back. No BATREP for these as I ran it about 12 times for different people but it was really great to get some positive feedback for BattlegroundHD and see a load of new wargamers trying the hobby out for the first time.
The scenario involved a US mechanised infantry platoon leading a counterattack to mop up survivors of a recent failed Soviet assault. In each case the player controlled one squad so they could quickly learn the rules without getting overwhelmed. The mission was completed with varying levels of success - one player lost his M113 and more than half his men just crossing the first field, another (I think the youngest player of the day) cleared every Soviet position without a single casualty! And I promise I wasn't fudging the rolls he needed to make :D
