Have you got a growing hobby mountain but need an extra push to pick up a paintbrush and tackle it? Have you been playing some Cold War games that you think might inspire other wargamers? Do you have a great idea for an article about Cold War history, hobbying or rules?

Operation Mountain Breaker is the challenge for you.

It’s simple: send us some Cold War content and you could win £50*!

There’s no hard and fast rules about what that content should be, feel free to use your imagination and come up with anything you think might grow our Cold War gaming hobby. Here’s some ideas of the kind of thing we’re looking for to get you started…

Photos of your painted figures and vehicles

  • Especially entries featuring complete platoons and combined arms teams.

  • We're more likely to pick entries which include Flank March, Full Metal and BobMack3D figures and vehicles but we love everything Cold War so feel free to send us photos of your figures from other manufacturers as well, we'll always have a look!

Battle Reports

  • If you've played a game of BattlegroundHD (or any other rules using our figures and vehicles) we want to know about it! We'd love to see your photos and hear what happened.

Scenarios

  • Taken things a step further and written your own scenario? Or a full campaign? Even better.

Homebrew Rules

  • Think BattlegroundHD is missing something? Have you come up with some new rules for NBC kit, urban fighting or special forces? We'd love to try them out.

Cold War related hobby ideas

  • Camo painting guides, vehicle weathering tutorials, an update on your latest terrain project - we want it all.

Cold War history articles

  • At the moment we're focusing on Germany in the 1980s but at heart we're just massive Cold War nerds so really anything goes.

  • This could be your personal experiences, notes on equipment and tactics, period photos etc.

Every month we’re going to be picking one of your Operation Mountain Breaker entries to publish and share on our websites and socials. If you submit the entry we select, you’ll receive a £50* voucher to use in the Full Metal, Flank March, BobMack3D or BattlegroundHD webstore of your choice.

* BattlegroundHD webstore vouchers are issued in USD and will have a value of $65.

Get your paintbrushes ready and your figures out on the table - we can’t wait to see what you come up with!
