Kickstarter backer guide
Backed a Flank March Kickstarter and want to access your rewards? This quick step-by-step guide will show you how.
STEP 1 - FILL IN YOUR BACKER SURVEY
Within two weeks of the end of the Kickstarter campaign you should receive a link to a Google Form (it will look something like the image above), this is your Kickstarter Back Survey.
You’ll need to answer three simple questions to tell me:
Your Kickstarter Username.
Your Kickstarter Email.
Your Flank March Webstore Email.
If this is your first Flank March Kickstarter you may not have a Flank March Webstore account yet. Don’t worry, just fill in the email you’d like to use and an account will be created for you automatically.
STEP 2 - REGISTER YOUR FLANK MARCH WEBSTORE ACCOUNT
If you’ve already used your Flank March Webstore account then you can ignore this section.
If its your first time, there’s a few extra steps you’ll need to complete.
Go to the Flank March Webstore at flankmarchstore.com.
Click Register at the top of the screen.
Fill in your Username (this doesn’t need to be the same as your Kickstarter username), Name, Email Address (this MUST be the same as the one your provided in the Kickstarter Backer Survey) and Password.
Complete the CAPTCHA to prove you’re not a robot.
You should receive an email asking you to verify your account. Make sure to do this or in Step 4 you won’t be able to see any files in your account. If you can’t immediately find the verification email check your spam/junk folder.
STEP 3 - WAIT FOR KICKSTARTER TO COLLECT FUNDS
Kickstarter typically takes around two to three weeks to collect all the project funds from all the backers. As soon as this process is complete, I’ll add your rewards to your Flank March Webstore account and send you a confirmation email to let you know they’re available.
STEP 4 - ACCESS YOUR FILE LIBRARY
Head back to flankmarchstore.com, hit Log In at the top of the screen, fill in your email and password and you’ll automatically be taken to your My Account page.
Click the My Files dropdown and you’ll be presented with your personal File Library.
Your File Library is in alphabetical order with each product name starting with its Kickstarter/Project title for easy navigation.
You can also use the search bar in the top right to quickly find specific products or show only products from a certain Kickstarter/Project.
Click one of the blue links on the right and you’ll be taken to MyAirBridge to download your files.
STEP 5 - DOWNLOAD FILES FROM MYAIRBRIDGE
All Flank March files are hosted on the data storage website MyAirBridge.
There’s no need to create an account on MyAirBridge but the first time you click a link you’ll be asked to agree to the website’s terms and conditions:
After this you’ll be shown your files, typically organised into folders for 15mm, 20mm and 28mm figures.
Right click on a folder and you can download it as a ZIP archive, double click and you can select individual files to download instead.
STEP 6 - STRETCH GOALS
The files you’ll receive two to three weeks after the end of the campaign will be the Core Rewards.
Stretch Goal Rewards (unlocked by reaching funding targets) can take a few months to be sculpted, QA checked, pre-supported, test-printed and uploaded to MyAirBridge.
This is typically done in a number of waves where batches of Stretch Goal Rewards are uploaded together.
You’ll receive an email each time a new wave of Stretch Goal Rewards becomes availalble on your Flank March Webstore account.
IT’S THAT SIMPLE!
If you’ve completed those steps then you should hopefully have access to your Flank March files ready to print, paint and get on your tabletop.
