Op:MB OCTOBER ‘26
October is here, and you know what that means - it’s Operation MOUNTAIN BREAKER time!
Jared Sutton is our OpMB winner this month with an absolutely brilliant Soviet Motostrelki platoon from BobMack3D’s First Echelon Kickstarter.
Painting vehicles with lots of flat, uniform colours can sometimes be an intimidating prospect but I think Jared’s handled it perfectly. The allover green paintscheme is broken up nicely with some subtle weathering and chipping and I love the blue gradient sky-reflections on the lorry windshields and the pop of the red sights on the AFVs as a way of adding some brighter colours.
Jared was inspired by watching Sonic Sledgehammer’s excellent “How I Paint Things” on Cold War Soviet Armour and thought he might be able to achieve a similar result himself. I think its safe to say - Mission Accomplished!
Got some Cold War figures of your own to show off? How about a battle report? A scenario idea? Even a history article? We want to hear from you.
