Warfare 2025 show report
Time to share some photos from the game I put on at Warfare (in Farnborough, UK) a few weeks back. No BATREP for these as I ran it about 12 times for different people but it was really great to get some positive feedback for BattlegroundHD and see a load of new wargamers trying the hobby out for the first time.
BATREP: Soviet Assault
I ran another really fun intro game of BattlegroundHD last night at South London Warlords for 5 players. The scenario was an assault by a fully mechanised Soviet platoon against a British defensive position held by a couple of sections from the Black Watch with support from a 2-inch mortar and a GPMG and we managed to play it out to a full conclusion in a little over 2 hours - not bad!
US Divisions in Germany
WWII wargaming has the great benefit of involving renowned units remembered from legendary actions which we can use to add some character and historical authenticity to our tabletop units. With a little digging and research their descendants have the potential to add the same flavour to our Cold War forces.
Broadside Batrep
Yesterday Flank March was at Broadside Games Show in Kent to preview the upcoming REFORGER American infantry platoon and run some more Cold War themed participation games using the excellent skirmish rules BattlegroundHD.
COLD WAR TERRAIN: THE NORTH GERMAN PLAIN
Looking for the quickest, easiest way to put together a table’s worth of Cold War terrain to really make your battlfield stand out.
